Abstract
This study aimed to explore factors affecting organ donation intention among nurses in a general hospital. The subjects were 186 nurses in a general hospital. Data collection was carried out for one month in September 2023 using a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Chi-squared test, the Mann-Whitney U test, and logistic regression analyses were performed using the SPSS 21.0 statistical program. Logistic regression analysis revealed that having experience of education (odds ratio: OR=2.65, p<0.001) and the higher the knowledge (OR=1.08, p<0.001), belief (OR=1.41, p<0.001), and behavioral intention (OR=1.37, p<0.001) were significant predictors of organ donation intention. To ensure effective activation of organ donation, it is necessary to continually educate nurses to improve their knowledge, belief, and behavioral intention towards organ donation.
